Click here to listen to what the lefty starter had to say:

On being named game one starter:

“I wanted to establish myself as one of the better starters here and to be named the first pitcher for the playoffs was one of the things I set out to do and one of the goals I set for myself. Its rewarding.”

On the level of play in the SAL:
“The competition is a little better (in the SAL). There is a difference in the hitters approaches and they adjust a little better. It’s definitely been an improvement for me to come up here and try and fine tune my game to face these hitters that have proven to be a little better that Williamsport.”

On Williamsport teammates Austin Hyatt, Korey Noles and Luke Wertz:

“Ithink they can help Lakewood a lot…so far all three have pitched well this week…as far as the playoffs go I think those guys can be a great help for us.”
