‘Claws Clinch 2009 Attendance Title
With the 7,700+ that came out to Monday’s BlueClaws game, the BlueClaws clinched their 9th straight South Atlantic League attendance title. The BlueClaws have, to date, drawn 415,000 fans in 2009 with two regular season home games remaining, and Greensboro, out of home games, finishes up at 406,549.
“To this for a ninth straight year is a great accomplishment and it’s a reflection on our great fans,” said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. “We try to put on a program of affordable family entertainment, and we’re thrilled that our fans have responded so strongly.”
The BlueClaws have led the league in attendance in each year of existence.
This year, the team let Kids Eat Free at every home game, and so far, 74,839 have taken advantage of a free hot dog, bag of chips, and a soda.
