Sanchez…is 6-1, 1.71 ERA over his last eight starts and has a 2.82 ERA over his last 67 innings, dating back to mid-May. The former catcher has won his last four starts.

7:18: Gose a leadoff home run (#2 as a pro/season)…Garcia doubles off the CF wall and scores on a Hamilton base hit…Good start, 2-0.
7:39: Ryan Lavarnway hits his 2nd of the series, a long bomb over the Monster…2-1…It was his 14th home run of the year. Good power hitting young catcher.
8:00: Not much since…Sanchez has picked off two at first tonight…GRE manager Kevin Boles says that he is not stopping on the quick pickoff turn and throw. But his argument fell on deaf ears.
8:13: 3 walks from Sanchez, first time he’s walked 3 since May 10th…He strikes out the hot hitting Middlebrooks (2 HRs, yesterday) to end the inning with the bases loaded…2-1 to the 5th.
8:30: Two more…Warren missed a HR by 6 inches off the top of the monster…Gose an RBI FC groundout and Garcia SAC fly…4-1…Gose stole second and then got picked off (CS) trying to take 3rd.
8:45: Travis d’Arnaud…WOW…a bomb off the 4th floor of the building across the street…HR #12 and it’s 5-1 Lakewood to the home 6th.
8:59: Sanchez struggles in the sixth…Does not finish it off…allows two…and almost four, ball off the top of the monster. 5-3, 1st and 2nd now, in comes Jordan Ellis.
9:03: Ellis looks like a new pitcher from the one who struggled in his first few outings. He retires the side, getting two outs and keeping it a 5-3 BlueClaws lead.
9:22: First time long time…Ellis allows a run in the bottom of the 7th…5-4
9:32: Bottom 8 now…Ellis still in…allows a single and a double. Second and third with no one out…The go-ahead run is 180 feet away. Ellis out and theres a new pitcher to try and keep the lead….It’s Jacob Diekman.
9:40: Diekman allows a single to Will Middlebrooks…from 5-1 it’s now 6-5 Drive.
9:46: Last licks for Lakewood…4-5-6 at the plate in a 6-5 game, top 9.
9:51: 1-2-3 inning, game over a big five-run comeback for the Drive…Day off tomorrow…Back at FirstEnergy Park on Friday for a nine-game homestand.
