6:38: In a rain delay. Getting set to take the tarp off the field.

6:42: At least squeegee the thing.

7:54: Sorry for the lack of updates…Estimated start time will be 8:30 pm…Our staff is tremendous.

8:46: Underway…A leadoff walk comes around to score on a double by Erik Morrison, who was thrown out at third, despite, in our opinion, being safe. 1-0 Crawdads.

9:09: Still 1-0…Wieland for the Crawdads, a 4th rounder last year…six up and six down.

9:32: Still 1-0 Hickory…Correa has settled in…Mintken a base hit for Lakewood and caught stealing…so the ‘Claws have sent the minimum 12 up through the first four innings.

9:55: Onto the 6th…1-0…still just one hit for Lakewood.

10:12: Same story…onto the 7th.

11:51: Lakewood falls 2-1. Had 2 on and none out down 2-1 in the 8th but D’Arby popped up a bunt and Garcia grounded into a double play. First time all year ‘Claws drop three straight.
