HIC: LHP Martin Perez (5-5, 2.36)

De Fratus…has allowed just two earned runs over his last two starts, both wins, (14.2 IP) after having an11.15 ERA over his first four starts of the season.

Perez…is the 5th ranked prospect in the Rangers system and went 3-0, 1.08 in July.

3:46: Tarp still on the field…Pedro Martinez is here but has not yet thrown his bullpen session.

5:08: Fifty-three pitches later…Pedro is done and signing autographs. Looked like Pedro to me. BlueClaws to start at six.

6:18: Underway…we’ll get you some Pedro pictures tonight…De Fratus got an inningending DP in the first w/ 1st/3rd…Perez a 1-2-3 first for Hickory.

6:40: Leonel De Los Santos doubles to start the inning… Leury Garcia then bunts…De Fratus slips and throws the ball from his rump…wild to first…runner scores and its 1-0 ‘Dads.

7:35: Lakewood ties on an RBI 6-3 groundout by Troy Hanzawa…1-1.

7:51: Easy 5-4-3 dp ends play in the sixth…to the seventh.

8:19: De Frauts gives up two in the 7th…one on a FC groundout andanother on a SAC fly…one hit two walks…3-1 to the 8th…Roth in.

8:36: Lakewood got d’Arnaud on base and the tying run up but Murph and de los Santos struck out to end the inning…3-1 to the 9th.

9:10: Game over…’Claws got a run but Gose struck out to end the game. 3-2 final.
