Game 58: BlueClaws (33-24) vs Hagerstown (26-28)

Big game tonight from FirstEnergy Park…Lakewood, with a half-game lead in the division over Delmarva, hosts Hagerstown in the finale of a four-game series, with the Suns having won the last two after Lakewood took the opener.

Last night…was the first BlueClaws loss in which they’ve led after eight innings.

Two is Plenty…Lakewood has lost two games in a row now six times this year, but they are 5-0 in the third game, and have yet to lose three games in a row at any point this season.

Rare Off Days…for Travis Mattair and Travis d’Arnaud. Valle will catch and Alan Schoenberger will play third base tonight.

6:19: Tarp is off the field…we’re good to go on time.

7:17: A run in the first for Hagerstown…Derek Norris’ 13th home run of the year (leads the league).

8:02: Foggy evening here in Lakewood…still 1-0 Hagerstown..Correa into and out of trouble in the 3rd and he’s given up five hits so far.

8:18: Six hits now given up by Correa through four but he’s allowed just one run…Lakewood has given up one Lakewood hit through their first three turns at bat.

8:26: Hamilton doubles and Hanzawa singles him in…1-1…Hanzawa was out 7-5-6-4 at 2nd after the ball was cut off.

8:56: In front…Murphy a two-run single…3-1 to the 6th…Correa still in there but De Fratus warming up.

9:17: Correa out after 5.2…De Fratus finishes off the 6th as Hagerstown leaves ‘em loaded…still 3-1 to the bottom half.

9:20: Fog delay.

9:42: Tickets for today’s game can be exchanged for the 1:05 pm game on Saturday, June 20th.
