Game 90: BlueClaws (53-36) vs Lexington (45-45)
Welcome back to FirstEnergy Park…After a crazy game last night when Lakewood cut a 12-2 deficit to 12-11 before falling 14-11 to Bowling Green, Lexington enters for the first time. Game notes here…Audio here (at 6:50).

Yo-Yo…The BlueClaws have alternated wins and losses over the last eight games.
d’Arnaud How to Hit…Travis d’Arnaud is 34-100 since June 13th and is 16-35 over his current eight-game hitting streak.
Not Knowing How to Hit…Lexington has scored just six runs over their last five games and is coming off a four-game sweep at the hands of Delmarva.
5:33: Overcast but all the rain is north and west of here. Should be good. Seaton is the #3 prospect in the Astros system per Baseball America.
7:02: About set to go…overcast, humid, breezy…beautiful.
7:20: 2 runs on 3 hits for Lexington…they hit a few balls hard off Ballestas too…not the best start.
7:51: Now 4-1…they added two more in the 2nd…Lakewood scored on a groundout by Hamilton…Garcia scored the run and d’Arnaud had another hit…he is 12-25 and has now hit in eight straight.
8:33: Round and round we go…more bad defense as Lakewood gets two unearned runs…Moose misses a HR to left by 2 feet and gets an RBI triple and Troy Hanzawa punches a base hit to right on an 0-2 pitch…now Lex’s lead is 4-3.
8:55: Diekman has thrown two shutout…and 10 having allowed one run since dropping to side arm at the all-star break…4-3 Lexington to the 6th.
9:21: Lakewood loads the bases in the 6th but Garcia strikes out on 3 pitches against new pitcher Henry Villar.
9:39: 4 off Simon in the 7th to blow it open…8-3 Lexington…bullpen isn’t the same in the 2nd half.
9:54: d’Arnaud just threw out a runner from one knee stealing 2nd to end the 8th…a laser…bot 8 and it’s 8-4 after a Jeremy Hamilton home run in the 7th.
11:04: Final was 8-4…’Claws drop 2 in a row and the yo-yo ends.
