Hamilton Named SAL Player of the Week
Just received word that BlueClaws first baseman Jeremy Hamilton has been named SAL Player of the Week.
Hamilton went 8-14 last week with a triple, two home runs, eight RBIs, and seven walks. All seven walks have come in the last four games, and the two home runs doubled his season total.
Hamilton was a fifth-round pick of the Phillies last year out of Wright State University, and he is also an accomplished bowler.
He is the first Lakewood position player to be named SAL Player of the Week this year. BlueClaws pitchers Jason Knapp and Freddy Ballestas have each been named SAL Pitcher of the Week this year.
