In last night’s season opener for Williamsport, Leandro Castro, who was with the BlueClaws through Memorial Day, went 5-6 with a home run hitting second for the Crosscutters. Congrats to Leandro and we wish him luck in Williamsport this year. Castro had 10 hits in 66 at bats with the BlueClaws this season.

Also of note, Anthony Hewitt, Phillies 2008 first-round pick who hit under .200 last year in the GCL, went 1-4 in a 15-2 Crosscutters victory over State College last night.

That was the season opener for Williamsport, and they are now in full gear through Labor Day, like the BlueClaws.
