LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Monday’s game between the Lakewood BlueClaws and Lake County Captains has been postponed because of rain. The game will be made up as part of a split double-header on Saturday June 20th at 1 pm and 7 pm.
Each game will be seven innings, per Minor League Baseball rules, and separate tickets will be required for admission into each game.
Seat-holders for Monday’s game can exchange their tickets for any remaining BlueClaws 2009 home game, subject to availability. Tickets for the regularly scheduled June 20th game will be valid at the 7 pm game.
The Most Improved Student ceremony, presented by www.MomsLikeMe.com, has been re-scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday night. Those with tickets can call the BlueClaws box office at 732-901-7000, option 2, to exchange their tickets for that night’s game. While the tickets are valid for any 2009 home game, there will be a pre-game ceremony only on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Donald Brown Player-to-Player Leadership Conference ceremony has not been rescheduled at this time.
The BlueClaws will next play on Tuesday at 11:05 am, with home games scheduled through Saturday.
The Lakewood BlueClaws welcomed 425,166 fans to FirstEnergy Park during the 2008 season which upped their eight-season total to 3,595,378. They have led the South Atlantic League in average or overall attendance in each of their eight seasons.
The team recently announced that all children, ages 12 and under, will eat free at every 2009 home game.
