The BlueClaws made a couple of moves after the game on Wednesday night, a 4-2 loss to Hagerstown; these additional moves come as Lakewood needed to put two guys on the DL before the playoffs begin next week…as follows:

• RHP Justin De Fratus placed on DL (left oblique strain)…De Fratus got just four outs before getting hurt on Monday. He was 5-6, 3.19 with Lakewood this year and was rolling along as a starter, having allowed just three ER in his last 21.1 IP.
• RHP Heitor Correa placed on DL (lower back strain)…Correa was 7-8, 4.13 with Lakewood this year, and joined the BlueClaws on May 3rd.
• RHP Luke Wertz tranferred from Williamsport…a 13th rd pick in 2007 (U of Nebraska), Wertz was 2-1, 2.18 with Williamsport and has allowed just two earned runs in his last 17.2 innings pitched.
• C Sebastian Valle transferred from Williamsport…Valle was hitting .312-6-40 with Williamsport…He turned 19 in July and has played great since getting in the lineup every day. He played a few days a week early in the year with the BlueClaws and went .220-1-15 in the first half.

Analysis: The De Fratus loss especially big. Austin Hyatt, who had a sub-one ERA with W’Port is here, but now he replaces De Fratus instead of complementing him.
