We were at the game the night before and found out that Pedro would be there the next day, but that you had to have a ticket to the game. So, I purchased tickets for the next night’s game for me, my husband and my son so that we could attend the bullpen session. We arrived for Pedro’s scheduled bullpen session, paid to park and entered the park. It was drizzling out; no Pedro. Then the torrential rains came and we waited. After about an hour with no information and pouring rain, (and wondering why the Blueclaws didn’t at least bring Pedro out to sign some autographs for the small number of fans waiting)we were told by a staffer that Pedro was not even there. My son was disappointed and we left. The rain continued. We returned for the game at 5:05pm only to find out that he eventually did show up and we missed him. The Blueclaws manager should have given the waiting fans some insight as to their plans instead of just keeping everyone waiting around in the pouring rain for hours. I wasted my money and my time for nothing! My son was very disappointed and I was disappionted in the way this whole thing was handled by the Blueclaws. Did they really expect people to hang around from 1:00pm until the start of the game at 5pm without any information as to what was going on? I think they were happy to keep everyone waiting around because the fans were passing the time by spending money in the Clawscove and at the food court! I was very disappionted by the way this was handled and will never purchase tickets in order to attend a bullpen session again.

Janet, we’re sorry about that. At the time the staffer told you he was not here yet, the staffer was likely correct. Pedro came out to throw around 4:15 or so but only arrived a short time before that.
We were unaware exactly what time he was going to arrive, just that he was coming to throw a bullpen session in the afternoon before our 5:05 pm game.
Again, sorry about that. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.

We did get to meet Pedro that night, we waited over 6 hours and boy was it worth the wait! Our buddy Kyle got to catch with him and Moose got to chat with him too. He signed stuff for us and MANY others. What a kind and patient man he was. My son and husband were at game five the other night in Phili and they were right by him in warm-ups. My husband said hey Pedro how about an autograph for a Blue Claws fan and he stopped dead in his tracks and looked–he procedeed to throw a ball to a boy who wasn’t my son. My husband said no that wasn’t him, Pedro put both arms up motioned wait a minute came back, pointed right to my son and threw the ball directly to him. Pics posted for all to see on my facebook! Hell of a guy. Let’s do it tonite Pedro. We’re all puliing for our Phils!
