Rising Stars Game Recap
Domonic Brown was the only Phillies prospect in the annual Rising Stars Game, for top Arizona Fall League prospects.
The 2008 BlueClaws OF started in RF for the Eastern Division Club and went 1-4 with a double and run scored, as part of a seven run first inning for the East.
Their only problem? They didn’t score the rest of the day. Matt McBride (Indians) hit a two-run homer in the 8th inning and the West won 8-7.
McBride’s home run came off Nationals prospect Drew Storen, who as we’ve told you before, was greeted this year in Hagerstown by Travis d’Arnaud, who hit a home run on Storen’s first pro pitch. He was the 10th overall pick in this year’s draft out of Stanford.
