Post-season success…The BlueClaws are 7-1 all-time in the playoffs (5-1 in 2006, when they won their first title).

Go(se)ing the right way…Anthony Gose went 1-25 to close his regular season but 4-9 against Kannapolis…Travis d’Arnaud is 21-50 after a 4-8 series.

Spread the Wealth…Over the first two playoff games, the BlueClaws have seen 15 of their 18 starters get a hit, and all 18 reach base.

4:55: Weather could not be more perfect. Hope to see you out here tonight.

7:00: Evolution sings the anthem. We’re a few minutes away.

7:14: Way gives up a hit but a clean first.

7:20: Gose hit 2 HRs in the regular season. He leads off the 1st with a home run. 1-0 Lakewood.

7:31: Pitcher turned SS Casey Kelly doubles in a run…tied up 1-1 to the home 2nd.

7:52: Way is not as sharp as he’s been…gives up a run after walking back to back hitters…2-1 Greenville.

8:02: And the BlueClaws are back in front…Myers beats out a DP ground out and Garcia doubles him in, d’Arnaud follows w/ an RBI single.

8:18: Best inning for Way…he does allow two hits to start, but 3 Ks to end it…possible turning point, but he’s already at 78 pitches. Probably only has one more inning.

8:45: Still 3-2 Lakewood as Wertz came on for Way in the 5rh.

8:53: Two on, one out in 6th, Diekman coming in.

8:56: Diekman gets a caught stealing and Hanzawa a great play behind short for the final out of the inning. Clay Condrey warming up for Lakewood.

9:21: Condrey gives up a run and Greenville has 2nd/3rd none out in the 7th…groundout, groundout, strikeout and nothing else comes in…Amazingly, 4-3 Lakewood at the stretch.

9:35: 1-2-3 eighth for Hyatt…onto the bottom half.

9:52: Garcia goes deep…Murphy RBI double…6-3 to the 9th.

10:05: Game over…6-3 win…Santo the save.
