The Lefties…Way has an 85-12 K -BB ratio between Williamsport and Lakewood this year…Leesman led the league in wins and retired the first 20 BlueClaws in his only start against Lakewood in May.

Santo the Closer…If this game comes down to the end, Santo Hernandez has not allowed an ER in 10.1 innings since returning from Clearwater in August…He has allowed just four ER in 44.2 innings with Lakewood since May 1st.
6:10: Overcast, mid-70s…The Southern Division game was rained out in Asheville, three hours west of here. But we’re fine. Should be fun.
6:55: Turned into a nice night…Four umps tonight and for the duration of the post-season.
7:15: Gose singled but got picked off to start the game…0-0 to the home first.
7:27: Way couldn’t put Jon Gilmore away, he fouled off a bunch and got a 2 out hit…Josh Phegley follows with an RBI double…1-0 KAN to the 2nd.
7:35: Mattair an RBI single ties it…Valle reached on an error by the shortstop Eduardo Escobar.
7:53: Back in the lead…Travis d’Arnaud continues to kill the ball…RBI single…Gose, who is also 2-2, scores on a wild pitch…3-1-.
8:13: Wasted opportunity…Lakewood up 3-1 w/ 2nd/3rd and one down…Myers strikes out and Gose grounds out.
8:20: Way strikes out the side…3-1 to the 5th.
8:49: Wasted 2nd/3rd none out w/ Myers and Gose for the 2nd time tonight…still 3-1.
9:12: Left ‘em loaded in the 7th…That’s 10 LOB through 7 but still a 3-1 lead…Way still in there.
9:40: Add a run on a Garcia SAC fly…4-1…’Claws have left 13 on through 8 though…Here’s Austin Hyatt.
9:53: Here’s Santo for the save…4-1 Lakewood.
10:15: That’s that…Santo gives up a run, but Lakewood wins 4-2. One to go. See you Friday.
