By virtue of the cancelled game and a loss by the Delmarva Shorebirds on Wednesday, the BlueClaws magic number has been reduced to just one. Therefore, if the BlueClaws beat the Hagerstown Suns on Thursday night at 7:05, they will be crowned as first half champions and awarded a playoff spot, as well as home field advantage in the first round of the South Atlantic League Playoffs.

The BlueClaws can also clinch with losses by both the Shorebirds and the Kannapolis Intimidators.
