After mustering just one hit in a 2-0 loss at the hands of Delmarva last night, the BlueClaws look to get back on the horse and even this series at a game apiece with a win tonight. 7:05 start.

Walk Before You Run…The BlueClaws lead the league in walks (160, Domingo Santana is tied for 3rd with 28) and they are second in the league in stolen bases (72, Jonathan Villar is 5th with 18)…Greenville leads the league with 79 steals…Villar has 15 stolen bases in May, including two straight steals of home.
Here’s Valle…Sebastian Valle is 8-15 over his last four games and 10-25 since his average bottomed out at .203 on May 16th…Valle, 19, went 16-91 from April 17th through May 16th, seeing his average fall from .281 to .203…Has not played since Tuesday (minor injury).
7:41: 0-0 to the second. Shreve gets out of 2nd/3rd 2 out with his second strikeout in the 2nd.
8:01: Four in the inning for Delmarva all started with Shreve plunking the 9-hitter. Two hits and two HBP. Steve Bumbry’s two-run triple makes it 4-0.
8:09: Castro lines a shot never more than about 20 feet off the ground and over the LF wall. 4-1…Singleton added a single and has hit safely in 15 of 17 games with Lakewood.
8:36: It falls apart for Shreve after an error by Buschini in the 5th. He gives up four three unearned runs and leaves down 7-1 (4.2 IP, 6 H, 7 R/4 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 HBP).
8:49: On a more positive note, Roy Halladay has retired 18 in a row to start his game against the Marlins.
9:02: 3-run home run for Valle makes it 7-4. His first home run since 4/14.
9:42: Final was 8-4 for Delmarva, their first back-to-back wins since May 1 and 3 and the first time since April 19-20 that they’ve won games on consecutive days. Diekman gave up a run in the 7th and Zeid had a clean 8th.
