As I type this, we’re just short of 7 pm on Thursday (St. Patrick’s Day), which means in three weeks exactly, we’ll be underway at FirstEnergy Park in game one of the 2011 season.

We’ll probably be in the second inning, unless of course we get a repeat of 2007′s Opening Day.

Anyway, we’re once again giving fans the opportunity to raise the South Atlantic League Championship Banner. Fans can bid on eBay by clicking here and all proceeds from the auction will benefit BlueClaws Charities.

Opening Day is also a Thirsty Thursday, which is cool. It’s the first time we’ve opened on a Thirsty Thursday since we instituted the promotion.
