BlueClaws RF Kelly Dugan was named Phillies Minor League Player of the Month for July, it was announced the the Phillies on Saturday.
A Phillies second-round pick in 2009, Dugan hit .374 in July, with three home runs and 23 RBIs. He has 12 multi-hit games in July, including two three-hit games and one four-hit game.
On July 15th against Savannah, Dugan went 4-4 with three runs scored. He raised his average from .246 to .290 in July and is hitting .337 with runners in scoring position this year.
Dugan is originally from Encino, California and played at Notre Dame High School.
Clearwater pitcher Adam Morgan, a 3rd-round pick last year from the University of Alabama, went 2-1 with a 1.56 ERA in July and was the Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Month.
