Sunday’s Concert Ticket Extravaganza Info

Sunday is our 2nd and final Concert Ticket Extravaganza of the year. The first 1,000 fans will receive raffle tickets to drop in buckets, where you can win tickets to many area shows. More will be added to the following list:

Brady Seals Added to THUNDERFEST

Breaking news as promised earlier…Brady Seals, formerly in the band Little Texas, has been added to the lineup for THUNDERFEST, an all-day country music festival at FirstEnergy Park on September 27th.

THUNDERFEST now features Jason Aldean, Julia Burton, Due West, Ty Williams, Williams Riley, and Brady Seals.

Brady Seals will be singing all the Little Texas songs as I just heard Captain Jack say on Thunder 98.5.

THUNDERFEST…Two Months From Today

Today is July 27th, and THUNDERFEST is September 27th. A full-day country music festival featuring Jason Aldean, Julia Burton and more, you can get the full details here. Tickets are on sale now and the weather will be better than it was for the Dylan concert last week. That should be good. Meanwhile, sit back and enjoy.

Wingstock, Wing Fling, and A Whole Lot of Wings

We’re blowing wings out of the water over the next two months, starting with Wing Fling on August 6th and rolling through Wingstock on October 3rd.

Wing Fling (details here) is a night-long wing-eating festival at the 8/6 BlueClaws game. Vendors will be selling wings for 50-cents, we’ll have a wing-eating contest, and a guest-judged wing competition. Will be fun.

Then Wingstock (audio preview here) on 10/3. Featuring Foreigner and Blue Oyster Cult, it’s a full-day concert and festival featuring free chicken wings (someone named King of the Wing), a hog pit bike show, and a classic car show.

THUNDERFEST Picnic/Party Decks Now Available

Picnic and party deck tickets for THUNDERFEST, an all-day country music festival 9/27 at FirstEnergy Park, are now available.

Two new special ticket offers for THUNDERFEST… Picnic tickets are now available for THUNDERFEST, includes your admission and an hour and a half picnic buffet for $60. Or purchase a Thunderfest VIP ticket with access to the party decks and catered food spread for $98.50! Tickets are limited to availability. Call 732.901.7000 for ticket information. These tickets can only be purchased in person or over the phone at FirstEnergy Park, home of the Lakewood BlueClaws.

Dylan Show Parking Information

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Fans driving to Thursday’’s Bob Dylan Show at FirstEnergy Park are encouraged to carpool and arrive as early as possible. On-site parking will be extremely limited.

Satellite lots and shuttle service will be provided to and from Ferguson Enterprises and Warshauer Electiric located at the intersection of Cedar Bridge and North Oberlin Avenues.

Gates will open at 5:00 for the 5:30 pm show, featuring Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, and Willie Nelson.

Three big concerts this summer/early fall at FirstEnergy Park and here is a rundown of all three.

  • Bob Dylan Show (Dylan, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp)…Thursday of this week…Tickets are $67.50…gates at 5:00 and the show begins at 5:30. More Details here.
  • THUNDERFEST (all-day country music festival with Jason Aldean, Julia Burton, and more acts TBA)…Sunday, September 27th…Tickets are $35 on the field, $30 in the seats. More details here.
  • Wingstock (all-day festival featuring Foreigner, Blue Oyster Cult, and more acts TBA)…Saturday, October 3rd…Tickets are $35 general admission or more for VIP areas. Also includes a hog-pit bike show and classic car show, plus free wings all day…More details here.

Monday, we’ll post a Q&A we did with Jim Callis of Baseball America, talking about the Phillies farm system, including several former BlueClaws players. One key note is using the system to acquire a top-of-the-line starter such as Roy Halladay.

Later this week, we’ll have some time lapse-style photos of the concert set-up, leading up to Dylan, Mellencamp, and Nelson on Thursday night.

Four Days Until Dylan

Just four days until Thursday’s Bob Dylan Show at FirstEnergy Park. Dylan will play after Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp and the show promises to be one of the hotest area shows this summer. It’s the only local stop for this trio on their summer ballpark tour. The deal:
