New: The Brawl at the ‘Claws

Professional wrestling is coming to FirstEnergy Park! It’s the first ever Brawl at the ‘Claws, an all-day event on July 11th, which will also feature the pro wresting debut of none other than Buster, BlueClaws mascot. Details here.

The event will feature none other than Doink the Clown when he goes one on one with former 5-time ISPW World Heavyweight Champion “Mr. Main Event” Ace Darling. Enjoy Doink, and we’ll see you on July 11th.

Manager’s Luncheon With Mark Parent

parentlunchfullWould you like to take part in a special meet and greet with BlueClaws manager Mark Parent, hear great stories, or find out about your favorite BlueClaws players, or learn the tools of the trade?

The BlueClaws will host a special Manager’s Luncheon with Mark Parent on Saturday, July 10th from 12 noon to 1:30 pm in the BlueClaws Executive Conference Center.

Mark will speak and field questions on a variety of subjects, whether you would like to ask about his big league career, the day he caught 24 innings in 100 degree weather, members of the current BlueClaws, and more.

ALS Celeb Waiter Event: May 26th

The BlueClaws will host their annual ALS Celebrity Waiter event on Wednesday, May 26th, at 6 pm at FirstEnergy Park.

BlueClaws players will serve as the waiters and the coaching staff will be the bartenders at the event, which will be held for the 10th time.

A cocktail hour and reception, which includes a meet and greet with BlueClaws players and coaches, will be held from 6 pm – 7 pm, with a buffet dinner to follow.

All proceeds, including tips, will benefit the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia, the principal charity of the Phillies. The first nine years have raised over $90,000 for ALS patients and their families.

This is a very important event on the BlueClaws community calendar every year, and event that raises about $10,000 per year for a charity that is very important to us and the Phillies. We hope you can join us!

One Week From Today

Believe it or not one week from today the BlueClaws will play their 3rd home game of the season. Included in the show that day, the annual 5K race.

The BlueClaws 5K race starts in the parking lot behind FirstEnergy Park and will end right on the field.

  • All participants will receive a free t-shirt.
  • All participants will receive a general admission ticket to Sunday’s home game.
  • Registration is just $20 and $10 for adults and kids if you sign up by tomorrow. It goes up $5 beginning Tuesday.
  • Finally, in addition to the 5K Race, there is a One-Mile Kids Fun Run.

FanFest Rundown

facebookfanfestFanFest 2010 is coming up on Saturday from noon – 5 pm. A bunch of different things will be going on, we hope you can join us, and here’s the rundown:

  • First day individual game tickets will go on sale; they will all be $1 off, except:
  • Dollar Weekend tickets, which will be on sale for the first time (April 17th and April 18th).
  • First 1,500 kids get a FREE mini bat courtesy of the US Census.
  • Scavenger hunt for Kids Club members.
  • VIP Tours of the ballpark.
  • Pictures with the championship trophies.
  • Call-your-own-home-run in the press box.
  • Story of Clawd readings (with me).
  • Clawd’s Kids Zone tickets will be 2-for-1.
  • FREE food.

Basically, it’s a full day of a lot of fun here at the ballpark, and serves as our official kickoff to Opening Day, which will be 27 days later. Hope to see you there.

Runners: BlueClaws 5K on April 18th

5kCalling all runners: the BlueClaws will host their 5K Race at FirstEnergy Park on April 18th, in conjunction with the Jersey Shore Council of Boy Scouts, Ocean Running Club, and Jersey Shore Running Club.

Basically, as follows:

  • The main 5K race begins at 10:30 am and the one mile Kids Fun Run begins at 10 am.
  • All races will end right on the field at FirstEnergy Park
  • All participants receive: a ticket to that day’s BlueClaws game (1:05) and a 5K t-shirt

buster-santa1Just a quick heads up…Saturday is the annual Breakfast with Buster holiday food and toy drive here at FirstEnergy Park. Basically as follows:

  • Bring an unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item to FirstEnergy Park on Saturday from 9 am – 11 am.
  • We’ll have free bagels and coffee (courtesy of Manhattan Bagel of Brick)
  • Pictures with Buster and Santa Claus (just six days before Christmas, his busy time)
  • Everything goes to the Salvation Army of Ocean County

Bowling Team Names

Winter Tour: January 11th

-Christmas shopping Saturday, stop by FirstEnergy Park with an unwrapped toy or non-perishable food.

It’s our annual Breakfast With Buster Holiday Food and Toy Drive. Buster and Santa will be there collecting items for the Salvation Army of Ocean County.

We’ll provide free bagels and coffee plus the chance for the kids to meet Buster and Santa, plus take some pictures too. 9 am – 11 am.
